Comparison of Concept of Death in Older Adults

Abstract

|
This study has been conducted to compare death concepts between the elderly Koreans who resided in Korea and those in USA. They were asked to list about three words or sentences while they think of death. The collected qualitative data were classified 4 main categories and 14 minor categories. There found some differences in the death concepts between two groups, and they were discussed in the context of their personal characteristics, acculturation, and religious backgrounds.
